I am currently experiencing higher demand due to COVID-19. I may take slightly longer than usual to reach out.
Now more than ever telehealth therapy is playing a key role in the provision of mental health services. I have been offering online therapy through a private and secure, HIPAA-compliant online portal, long before COVID-19 and now my practice has moved entirely online for health and safety reasons.
Few therapists were trained in telemental health prior to COVID, but I completed a full telemental health training. Research on video-therapy (often called telemental health) indicates that online therapy through a secure video-chat portal is as effective as face-to-face therapy.
The global pandemic is effecting people in many ways. Counseling and psychotherapy can help.
Common coronavirus-related concerns in my practice include:
Frontline worker guilt/anxiety
Existential issues - meaning, values, direction of life
Exacerbation of pre-existing anxiety and depression
Addiction/Substance Abuse Issues
I was pleasantly surprised with online sessions. I actually felt an ease that face-to-face sessions didn't give me as much. Doing online sessions with Suzanne made it easier for me to open up and talk about the relationship issues. This experience was much better than I expected and I highly recommend Prepare-Enrich to restore a dying marriage. It works! -S.H., Denver, CO
